BLOGGING A NEW CHAPTER IN MY LIFE
I felt the need to move to a new blog as I move to a new relationship. I loved Lou and will keep her blog to keep up with her accolades that continue to accumulate.
I have met a new lady that I will introduce in this blog.
This is a photo taken at McDonald Observatory at Fort Davis.
This was taken at Pappadeauxs Restaurant in Fort Worth after Nancy completed her pre-op at Harris Hospital preparing for a shoulder replacement surgery Monday January 25.
Her name is Nancy from Granbury. We met December 6 at New York Hill restaurant at Thurber half way between us. We talked about our families and our interests and found that we had much in common. We had both asked God to direct our lives and felt that He was answering our requests after this meeting. We agreed to meet again and found that we were both very compatible and had the same religious beliefs. When we are together we read our devotionals together and pray together. We ask a blessing at each meal and both pray at night. We agreed not to see any others and began visiting each other's home every other week. We spent 3 days visiting Indian Lodge at Fort Davis and got to know more about each other and found ourselves still compatible.
I spent Monday taking Nancy to Harris Hospital for her shoulder surgery by Dr. Keith Watson, who repaired the rotator cuff on my son Mark several years ago and was the surgeon I got to evaluate the diagnosis that my rotator cuff was torn into by an Abilene radiologist. He looked at the MRI and found no problem. I also visited his office and was examined by his PA when my tendon popped in my right arm and he assured me that there was no problem
After Nancy's surgery Dr. Watson said it went well because he practised on another patient who had the same operation earlier. He showed us the Xray of the new pin and plastic insert that the joint now has.
Nancy's oldest son, John and his wife, Carol plus Nancy's daughter Vickie were present during the surgery. Vickie's daughter Jackie and son Bradferd came up to be present when Nancy was brought to her room in Harris about 7 p.m. I spent the night with Mark and Kathy and went back early this morning to help Nancy eat her breakfast. With her right arm in a sling with a cold pack on the shoulder she had to feed herself with her left hand. She had been practicing in anticipation of the surgery, but needed to hold her right arm up and I helped her eat a few more bites of cereal. I left about 10:45, too late to get to Kiwanis.
I did go to the 125th Anniversary of the Coleman Library tonight and with Judy Luter, Linda Burns and Ann Bennett got ideas to use in our CP Library. The local editor took our photo for the newspaper.
