THURSDAY NIGHT

We thought Nancy would come home from the hospital today but she elected to spend one more night and come home tomorrow. She is doing very well learning how to do everything with her left hand. She even brushed her teeth after eating with her left hand. Today she got out of bed by herself and walked out in the hallway. When the pain from the surgery gets too bad one pain pill eases it and lets her nap. She took several naps today and is in good spirits. She looked at the Xray of the operation to see what the metal pin looked like in her new shoulder. In the hospital she still has the ice pack with the cold water circulating through it to keep the shoulder cool. That seems to help and I think she wanted that for one more night.
